We had the pleasure of being commissioned by Pregnancy Sickness Support to make this short animation, raising awareness about the condition 'Hyperemesis Gravidarum'.

One of the best things about making animations like this is that we get to learn the subject matter really well. Before embarking on this project we’d heard of HG in passing but knew next to nothing about how devastating and difficult a condition it is for pregnant women. Seeing the work that Pregnancy Sickness Support do was really inspiring and it was a privilege to be involved in their work, even in just a small way.

The challenge for this piece was to communicate the message in a way that was accurate and honest, and yet also sensitive, and not too graphic! Keeping it simple was the real key, focusing on the sufferers rather than the condition itself.

This film was nominated for the Charity Film Awards in 2019 and won the bronze prize.
